The New StabMovies.com Is Here — And the Digital Downloads Are Free
The new StabMovies.com is here! There is a lot more to look through this time, and the biggest change is one I want everyone to know about: our digital downloads are free. Posters, printable Blu-ray covers, prop-book replicas, screenplays, and my Stabbed font are all there for you to download.
Start with your favorite movie
The movie pages bring the story, cast, production information, music, home-video releases, merchandise, trailers, and galleries together. Open a franchise, pick a movie, and use its section buttons to get to what you want. You can spend five minutes finding a particular detail or disappear down a rabbit hole comparing different releases. I know which one I usually do.
Scream, the Stab movies inside Scream, and our own StabMovies.com productions have their own sections. They are different things, and I want it to be easy to follow all three. The site also covers Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Chucky, Final Destination, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Scary Movie, alongside our original films and shorts.
The free downloads
If you have wanted to print a Stab poster, put together a replica Blu-ray case, or make one of Gale Weathers' prop books for your collection, head to the Store. The digital files are free. That includes the downloadable replicas featuring Ghost Face, and it includes the other digital designs too. You do not need to buy a physical item to get them.
Stabbed by Joshua Patrick Dudley is free as well. It is my font replicating the lettering in the official STAB logo, with 253 glyphs supplied in OTF, TTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats. Use the download on the site to get the files and the license together.
There are also free filmmaking, watch-party, and collection-organizing downloads. I wanted the free section to have things you can actually print, use, and enjoy, whether you make movies or just love watching them.
Watch the films. Read the scripts.
Our released Stab films and original shorts have their own pages, with viewing links and the details that belong to each production. The screenplays we have made available are free PDF downloads on the movie pages. The old paid Stab script books have been removed from the Store. If you want to read along, compare a scene with its script, or see how one of our films started, you can do that without buying a book.
One Store, organized by franchise
The Store is grouped by franchise so you can browse without being sent back through every movie section. Free digital files sit alongside the relevant collectibles and other merchandise. Physical items that have to be made or shipped, and music, are still paid items. The free-download change does not turn those into free orders.
More of the archive in one place
You can also browse the news archive, production photos, and the history of our own releases. The Scream 4 world-premiere gallery is a particularly personal part of the site: that was a night I will never forget. Movie pages keep their own galleries and production material together, so the photos do not lose the context that makes them interesting.
The layout works on phones as well as larger screens, and the sections open and close so you can get around without keeping everything on the page open at once.
Thank you to everyone who has watched our movies, shared a link, collected a replica, or stuck around since the early days of StabMovies.com. Have a look around, download something, and enjoy the new site!
