Production on Stab 5 has been temporarily paused, though we do not expect the delay to be lengthy, following several cast and crew departures and an escalating pattern of behind-the-scenes conflict.

Jamie Lynn Hazzard, who was set to return as Gale Weathers, chose to abandon the production because an actress she personally disliked had been cast in the film. The two performers were not even scheduled to appear in the same scene. Nevertheless, Jamie Lynn allowed a personal grievance to take priority over the work, the cast, the crew, and the fans waiting for this movie.

Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. Since taking on the role of Gale Weathers in Stab 4, Jamie Lynn has repeatedly brought unnecessary conflict into the production, recruited others into personal disputes, and helped turn ordinary creative disagreements into hostile group campaigns.

Daylen Casteel was previously fired following Stab 4. Joey Sebald has now also been removed from the production due to his involvement in the ongoing conflict. Kristen Wood chose to leave, and producer Sam Sexton is no longer involved with the project.

What began as immature behind-the-scenes behavior has since become considerably more serious. We have become aware of an organized effort, led by Daylen, to publicly attack, discredit, and damage the reputation of Stab writer, director, and creator Joshua Patrick Dudley.

This is not constructive criticism. It is not a professional disagreement. It is a deliberate attempt to punish and humiliate someone because he refused to allow a small group of former collaborators to control his production.

Joshua is appalled by the cruelty, dishonesty, and entitlement being displayed by people he once trusted and welcomed into the Stab family. Jamie Lynn and Daylen have shown far more interest in creating division, recruiting allies, and damaging reputations than they ever showed in resolving their issues like responsible adults.

We will not turn this page into a platform for endless personal attacks, nor will we respond to every rumor, distortion, or accusation they choose to circulate. However, organized harassment, intimidation, and attempts to sabotage the production will not be ignored or tolerated.

No actor is bigger than the film. No clique owns this franchise. No one is entitled to dictate who may be cast, who may work behind the camera, or who Joshua is permitted to associate with.

Stab 5 has not been canceled.

During this brief pause, Joshua will rewrite the screenplay to accommodate the casting changes and rebuild the production around people who are dependable, professional, and genuinely interested in making a movie rather than manufacturing drama.

Losing several people at once is a major disruption, but removing toxic behavior from a production is not a defeat. It is a necessary step forward.
